Baahubali 2: Just 3 days are left for director S. S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2-The Conclusion to hit the screen and reports have claimed that the film is all set to see the biggest release in the history of Indian cinema. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the movie will be capturing more than 6000 screens but the film team is trying to get it up 8000 screens. According to sources, “There are close to 5000 screens across the country where Bollywood films run. Add to that 3000 odd further screens in South India where major Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films are released. This brings the total of 8000 screens. With no other film, either in Hindi or other regional languages arriving alongside Bahubali 2 – The Conclusion on April 28, it would practically be the face-off between Prabhas and Rana Daggubati that would find maximum attention in almost all centres of the country,” as quoted by the report.
While Baahubali created anxiety among the people with the question “why did Katappa kill Baahubali,” its sequel is breaking various records. Earlier when the trailer of the film was released, it made the record of being the most-watched trailer in the country with the highest number of views on YouTube that touched 100 million and is still powering-up the count. And now, what with the whopping number of screens, Baahubali 2 is now on its way to be the first film to get such a massive release in the country.

Throwing a bit of a spanner in the Baahubali works is another report. Even the biggest Hindi film, even after being dubbed in Tamil and Telugu versions, ended up releasing in 4500-5000 screens while South Indian films have not exceeded more than 2500-3000 screens, according to the Bollywood Hungama report.
Sources have however said, “With a budget that is the biggest ever for an Indian motion picture, it was also quite rudimentary that the placement is the biggest ever as well. The wait for knowing ‘Why did Katappa kill Baahubali?’ has been pretty agonising already. More and more people would want to know it on the first day itself, lest the news leaks in today’s fast paced electronic world over social media. Better to let anyone and everyone watch it in theatres soon enough instead of making them wait for long,” as quoted by Bollywood Hungama.
